There are moments in a chef’s journey that transcend beyond food — moments that become a part of something far more meaningful. For me, this was one such evening.
Set against the breathtaking grandeur of the Laxmi Vilas Palace, Vadodara, La Patisserie 20 was honoured to curate an exclusive dessert experience for the Rewild – Fashion for Good initiative by celebrated designer Anita Dongre, in the gracious presence of HH Maharani Radhikaraje Gaekwad.
A Royal Invitation
To be personally chosen by Maharani Radhikaraje Gaekwad and Anita Dongre for such a prestigious and purpose-driven gathering was not just an honour — it was deeply meaningful.
As a chef, and as someone who believes in thoughtful luxury, this opportunity reflected trust — not only in our craft but in our philosophy.
It was a moment where La Patisserie 20 stepped into a space where heritage, fashion, sustainability, and fine craftsmanship came together beautifully.
The Dessert Queen of Baroda – A Defining Moment
Over the years, Vadodara has embraced my journey, and being recognised as the “Dessert Queen of Baroda” felt truly special on this stage.
But this evening was not about titles —It was about creating an experience worthy of the palace, the people, and the purpose behind it.
Curating a Dessert Experience, Not Just a Table
The scale of the event was magnificent — a grand palace setting, a gathering of distinguished guests, and an atmosphere filled with elegance and intention.
For this evening, we didn’t just design desserts. We crafted a story through every element on the table.
Our dessert grazing table brought together:
Handcrafted French entremets
Artisanal confections made with precision and finesse
Thoughtfully created vegan desserts, aligning with the spirit of conscious living
A visual narrative inspired by nature, sustainability, and understated luxury
Every dessert was carefully conceptualised to balance:flavour, texture, aesthetics, and purpose.

Where Art Meets Indulgence
From delicate, velvety entremets to refined plated desserts, each piece was designed to be:
Elegant, yet approachable
Luxurious, yet mindful
Visually stunning, yet deeply flavourful
The presentation itself was an extension of this philosophy —earthy tones, natural elements, florals, and textures that blended seamlessly with the palace’s timeless beauty.

A Celebration of Conscious Living
What made this evening truly special was its purpose.
Rewild – Fashion for Good is not just about fashion. It is about responsibility, sustainability, and mindful choices.
As a patisserie, bringing this philosophy into desserts meant:
Creating vegan selections without compromising on taste or texture
Respecting ingredients and their origins
Designing indulgence that aligns with awareness
It was about proving that luxury and sustainability can coexist beautifully.

Gratitude & Reflection
As I stood there, watching guests experience the table, engage with the desserts, and immerse themselves in the setting — it was a deeply fulfilling moment.
To be a part of an evening that celebrated:heritage, fashion, purpose, and mindful luxuryis something I will always cherish.
I am incredibly grateful to:
Anita Dongre for envisioning such a meaningful initiative
HH Maharani Radhikaraje Gaekwad for her trust and grace
And every guest who appreciated the artistry behind each creation

A Moment That Defines the Journey Ahead
This evening marks more than just an event for La Patisserie 20.
It is a reflection of:
Where we come from
What we stand for
And where we are going
To create experiences that are not just beautiful —but meaningful, memorable, and timeless
